Riding in Dronninglund Storskov (Dronninglund Great Forest)

If you want to go horseback riding in the Great Forest of Dronninglund (Dronninglund Storskov), you have to buy a licence and a riding permit (DKK 800 for a year/DKK 1200 for a family in a year) at Overgaard Gods, phone: +45 86 47 03 33.

Guided tours on Icelandic ponies

All year, you can experience the nature at Thise Bakker (Thise Hills) on calm Icelandic ponies at Kærgården Islænder. In the summertime, there are also guided tours in Blokhus. Kærgården Islænder also offers riding holidays and stables for your horse.  

The price for a guided tour is 175 DKK for 1 hour and 300 DKK for 2 hours

Throughout the year Vendsyssel Driving Union organize a number of arrangements and shows.

In July, there is a genuine horserace to coincide with the Asaa Beach Party.
