The Vikings (from the late 8th to the early 11th century) had not always been able to have the best reputation. However, they were not only wild and dangerous people. They were highly gifted navigators and ship builders. Perhaps, they were less well-known because they were also brilliant farmers and lived in well-organized communities.

By visiting the viking centre at Gimlegaard outside Stenum, you may experience the old vikings ways and try yourself how the Vikings lived, taste the food they ate, play games from back then and so on.

July - September: every day from 10am - 6pm
