Churches

Each of the local churches - both old and new - have their own story to tell. For generations, the churches have been natural meeting places for the local residents, which also can be seen from the churches. Several churches have frescos and fascinating furnishings and decorations. We recommend a visit to the medieval churches in Voer, Ørum, Brønderslev and Hellevad as well as the chapel that belongs to Dronninglund Castle (Dronninglund Slot). These churches illustrate life in a convent, the golden age of feudal pomp and the life of common people. Some of the churches have issued folders that are available either free of charge or at a low price.
