Voergård Castle

Voergård Castle (Voergård Slot) was built in 1580 and is one of Denmark´s most beautiful renaissance buildings. The north wing, where the infamous Danish bishop Stygge Krumpen lived, is much older.

Medieval days at Voergård Castle
The Middle Ages will be held on July 12-20. You will have the chance to experience and see the Bishop Stygge Krumpen´s friars, mountebanks, soldiers, artisans, beggars and the nobility at The Medieval days at Voergård Castle.

Dronninglund Castle

Dronninglund Castle was originally called Hundslund Convent. In the twelfth century, the king decided that nuns from the Benedictine Order should stay there. Later on the castle got less humble owners such as Queen Charlotte Amalie, who in the year 1690 renamed the castle Dronninglund (´queen´s grove). Today, the buildings have been converted to a hotel and course centre, an alteration made with great respect for the historical settings.

The church is open every day.
